Finalists Food Boost Challenge 2025

The student team Flatta from Inholland University of Applied Sciences has been declared winner of the Food Boost Challenge 2025 by both the professional jury and the public! The innovative idea of using flatbreads, consisting of 30% vegetables and rich in fibre, to entice young people to make healthier and more plant-based choices was voted the most promising concept of this third edition. Winning the expert jury prize and the public prize together, this team took both top prizes: the two cash vouchers worth €2,500 and €500 respectively.

According to the expert jury, the feasibility of the concept and the extent to which the concept had been thought through were decisive for the win. The team also impressed with their pitch and answers to questions.

For example, the team had an exact idea of where the break-even point for their product lay.

The expert jury chose Team Food Boost Truck as runner up. The social aspect of food education for schoolchildren by schoolchildren appealed, as did a well thought-out plan for realistic implementation. Third place went to Team Nourish, which aims to help young people make healthier choices easier and faster in the supermarket with a specially developed youth shelf in the supermarket. An innovative concept, but still in need of fine-tuning so that it fits within current claims legislation. Team Food Boost Truck and Team Nourish are both from Hotelschool The Hague.
